The
Fogel Foundation is a nonprofit 501(C)3 medical
and educational center that integrates conventional, complementary,
and alternative medicine to treat illness, promote health,
and educate the public.
In
a Professional and Caring Atmosphere, our medical
and health center treats both the physical and emotional
health
needs of our patients. We also have programs to educate
the general public and professional community on a wide
range
of health topics. Our practitioners, working as a team,
are committed to the responsible integration of healing
practices
from conventional, complementary and alternative medicine
(CAM).
The
Foundation Consists of Three Divisions: The
Division of Integrative Medicine-Integrative Medicine
Associates,
The Division of Psychotherapy and The Human Sexuality
Institute, and The Division of Education, Training, and
Research.
Our divisions and their practitioners work closely together
collaborating with each other regularly to provide comprehensive
care.
The
Fogel Foundation's Beginnings date back to
1977. Established by Julius Fogel, M.D., a gynecologist
and
psychiatrist, and his wife Marguerite Fogel, Ph.D., a
clinical psychologist and educator, both are highly regarded
clinicians and innovators who have practiced in the medical
and mental health communities for more than 40 years.
Their original and successful vision was to build a psychotherapeutic
education and training center that advanced
growth in human relationships.
David
Fogel, M.D., their son, has broadened this
vision and is leading The Foundation into the new and
important
territory of Integrative Medicine. He is board certified
in Internal Medicine and trained in mind/body focused
individual
and group psychotherapy. The Fogel Foundation's history,
family centered roots, and combined psychological and
medical expertise make for a dynamic and effective multi-disciplinary
health center.
The
Fogel Foundation's Mission
is to serve the public as a pioneering clinical, teaching,
and research center
working toward the integration of conventional and evidence-based
complementary and alternative medicine(CAM)
through defining the relationship between mind and body,
health and illness, and cultural, religious, and spiritual
belief
systems.
